Poggio Basso Chianti 2020 Magnum 1.5L

Chianti is perhaps the classic region in all of Italy. Chianti has been produced since ancient times but became a designated region in the late 19th century. 7 sub-zones within the Chianti region can label their wine as such. The most commonly consumed wine in Italy, and the most commonly consumed Italian wine in the world, chianti is emblematic of what Italy means to the world of wine. The blend must be at least 70% Sangiovese. 

There are flavors of black cherry with slight violets and peppery notes. It is rich and full on the palate.

Fermented primarily from Sangiovese, fresh cherry, strawberries, and red plum pleasure the senses when enjoying this wine. 

Deep ruby red color. Fruity, fine perfume with characteristic scent of violets. Harmonious, smooth and full flavor.  

Pairs well with pasta with tomato sauce as well as beef and pork dishes with roasted vegetables or even a pizza. 

Poggio Basso in Italian means "the lower part of the hill".
