Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 750ML

Cherry, raspberry, and dried herb aromas laced with hints of vanilla and tobacco. The palate has a charming weight and velvety texture filled with intense flavors of black cherries and blackberries, all elevated by a lovely backbone of spice notes from extended aging in French oak barrels. Blackberries and hints of dried herbs linger through the long, spice-kissed finish.

92pts Wine Enthusiast "Earthy in composted earth and crushed rock, this elegant wine is lifted by bright red fruit and floral highlights. Plum, currant and subtle oak combine on the palate for a textured, balanced and enjoyable outcome."

92pts Wine & Spirits "Cherry kirsch and allspice introduce this wine, giving it the sensibility of a gangly adolescent. That lean and awkward moment passes as oxygen has its way with the wine, enriching it, bringing depths to its notes of exotic dried fruits, emphasizing the floral complexity of a clean young cabernet. This is destined to age with grace."

The dark fruit flavors, silky palate and structure make it a lovely wine for food pairing. This wine's elegance, acidity and spice notes complement grilled or roasted dishes, such as herb crusted lamb, roasted chicken, or grilled pork loin. The wine's earthiness even complements vegetarian dishes such as mushroom risotto, ratatouille, or roasted root vegetables.

They focus on three things: Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and hospitality. John Jordan's guiding philosophy is that every vintage, every meal, and every tasting should be better than the last. There is a relentless drive to constantly perfect the craft. Made in a more European style that allows them to pair well with a broad range of foods.

Winemaking decisions emphasize the wine's fruit and acidity rather than the alcohol and tannin, achieving elegance and balance in the bottle drives all that Jordan does in the vineyards and cellar.

More than three-quarters of the 1,200 acres that surround the Jordan Winery Chateau remain wild, open spaces that a myriad of animals and plants call home. Preserving natural habitat and conserving resources are two tenets in sustainability efforts. The winery runs almost entirely ion solar energy, and the vineyards and winery are certified sustainable.
