Mucha played a prominent role in shaping the aesthetics of the French Art Nouveau movement (initially called Mucha Style).  He is best known for his distinct technique and enchanting Neoclassical images. His style went on to influence an entire generation of painters and graphic designers, most notably Gustav Klimt.
