Flora Springs Cabernet Sauvignon 2017 750ML

This Cabernet invites you in with bold aromas of blackberry, blueberry and black raspberry and a lovely hint of toasty oak. The flavors echo the aromas, with added notes of vanilla, sassafras, espresso and a hint of cedar. Bright acidity brings a nice tension to the wine, with elegant tannins bringing it to a long, satisfying finish.

93pts Tasting Panel "A long list of mineral, fruit, and floral notes makes up the complex nose, with leather, slate, dark chocolate, and plum leading. Creamy waves of blueberry and plum morph into teeth-coating coffee-bean tannins. Enjoyable and undoubtedly age worthy."

Flora Springs is a family endeavor that epitomizes hard work, dedication and teamwork. The vitality of this family is obvious as they set about the task of growing great grapes and making absolutely delicious wine.

Jerry and Flora Komes bought the first vineyard over 20 years ago as a retirement project that quickly became a lifetime passion for their son John Komes and daughter Julie Garvey and their families. In 1980, Ken Deis was hired as winemaker and has been part of the family ever since. Deis makes use of every tool at his disposal. Trusting his senses, the way the berries feel, the taste of the fruit and the smell of the wine during the fermentation process. Deis has also worked closely with vineyard manager Pat Garvey for more than 20 years and they can now anticipate the challenges that each vintage brings. Deis also adopted the same curiosities the the entire Komes-Garvey family has and it has paid off royally in the quality of his wines.
