Doty was a masterful artist whose influences were clearly rooted in the cubist tradition of Picasso and abstract expressionism. He was a winner of numerous prestigious art awards and he exhibited his work around the globe to high acclaim. Doty was known for having impressive control and pushing the envelope in his designs. On the personal side, Doty was a military veteran who served with distinction during the Vietnam War. He passed away in 2016, and this is one of the few remaining hand signed Doty art pieces available.
