Domaine Pellé Menetou-Salon, Morgues Rosé 2021 750ML

The wine is a light salmon colored rosé and produced by the direct-press technique. With delicate floral notes that lead into a medium-bodied wine with nice acidity and an abundance of minerals and nice overall tension.

This rose is vinified like a white wine (no malolactic fermentation). The wine shows the characteristics of its color: freshness and finesse. This thirst-quenching wine makes a delicious aperitif and a fine accompaniment to cold and white meats.

Vines are 25 years old, planted in and around the village of Morogues.

The first Pellé winemakers made wine for their own consumption, to have something good to drink with Sunday lunch and something thirst-quenching when working in the vineyard or fields. Then, because the wine was good it was sold to friends for parties and weddings, and to licensed premises nearby. The earliest written records of trade reveal that Paul Pellé transported and sold barrels of wine to brasseries in Bourges in the early 20th century.

Domaine Pellé has only grown since then being cared for and expanded by the Pellé family. Over the years more and more customers, from further and further away, needed to be attended to. Today, Henry Pellé and Paul-Henry Pellé work together to keep Domaine Pellé at the forefront of the appellation.
