Pommery Brut Royal Champagne 750ML

Pale yellow with faint green highlights. Lively and cheerful, fresh, light-hearted, fine, delicate and generous on the nose. Elegant and lively on the palate. Small assertive notes of red fruits. Rounded, rich, delicate wine that lingers in the mouth. A clean taste with no dryness. A very smooth wine which never wanes of the palate.

93pts Decanter "Civilized apple, lemon and dried fruit nose. There's a nice lift in the mouth with citric balance and real poise. Full of character."

92pts James Suckling "Peach, lemon, grapefruit, biscuit and some honey on the nose. Creamy and round with a juicy, peachy and lightly off-dry palate. Sleek bubbles. One third each of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meaner. Base vintage 2018. 9-10g/L dosage. Drink now."

90pts Wine Enthusiast "An equal blend of the three major Champagne grape varieties, this cuvée is a reference in the region. It has a fine balance and is rich but with good touches of minerality as well as crisp white fruits. The finish with its bite of citrus is attractively refreshing. Drink the bottling now."

Pommery Brut Royal is the essence of the Pommery style: liveliness, fresh, finesse. From 40 selected villages in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims and other areas in the Champagne region, where the liveliness and delicacy of the chardonnay grape is enhanced by the climate.

A historic champagne house founded in 1836 by Alexandre-Louis Pommery. Madame Louise Pommery took over Champagne Pommery in 1858 and created over 11 miles of cellars. She also created the first "Brut" style Champagne in 1874 - revolutionizing the style of champagne worldwide. Pommery became an Unesco world heritage site in 2015 and receives over 180,000 visitors each year.  Clement Pierlot is only the 10th Chef des Caves since 1836, ensuring consistency of the house style. As an enologist and engineer in agriculture, Clement is devoted to organic viticulture and is leading the conversion of all Pommery owned vineyards to organic.
