Born into a large, impoverished family in a small Russian village, Datloof became an artist against all odds. It was just impossible for her not to paint! Growing up, her family loved to sing and play music and this inherent love of music and song is reflected throughout Datloof's art, which transcend the boundaries of time. She drifts with the tides of inspiration: from classical portraits to avant-garde, from impressionism to modern art but always leaving her distinct personal imprint of rich color and flowing lines.
