ERIN DERTNER
Lago Como
Sunlight and sea, ambling pathways and rustic dwellings, have been Dertner's inspirations since the age of nine. The cool shadows of the early morning and those that fall long and warm in the evening enliven the soul of her art. Dertner's allegiance rests with the impressionist school, and the struggle to be honest and deliberate results in images that impart a sense of peace and yearning for stillness and quiet. Based in Mendocino, Dertner says "There is no greater life than to study the world, paintbrush in hand, and a heart full of love and gratitude."
