Haiyan paints portraits of legends, history and culture that are deeply rooted in the enduring American spirit. Internationally renowned, the artist’s work has been exhibited in more than sixty countries. Back in her native China, at age 16, she was the youngest student in history to be enrolled at the prestigious Luxun Academy of Fine Art. She later attracted worldwide attention in her sole exhibition of portraits for the United Nation's Fourth World Conference on Women. Haiyan has lived in her beloved United States since 1995.
