Joe Montana was drafted in the third round by San Francisco 49ers in 1979. He played 14 seasons with the 49ers and won four Super Bowls and was the first player to be named the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player three times. He also holds Super Bowl career records for most passes without an interception (122 in four games) and the all-time highest passer rating of 127.8. Along with his many career accolades he is famous for his game winning touchdown pass to Dwight Clark in the 1981 NFC championship coined "The Catch". Joe Montana would have his number retired by the 49ers after his career had ended in commemoration of the greatest of all time.
