The work of Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt, served as the foundation for the groundbreaking "Vienna Secession" movement. His works attracted controversy throughout his career because of his portrayals of nudity, sexuality and eroticism. His ideas were revitalized in the Pop Art wave of the sixties & seventies.
