Pierre Paillard Extra-Brut Bouzy Grand Cru Les Parcelles XVII 750ML

Les Parcelles offers plenty of Bouzy character by delivering a wine of depth and creamy richness. Flavors and aromas of toasted bread, pear nectar and honey unfold upon the palate. The finish is all smoke and lees and lingering toastiness. In combination, the wine is generous, complex and multi-faceted with broad appeal.

92pts Robert Parker's Wine Advocate "Offering up aromas of lemon oil, nectarine, freshly baked bread and hints of honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and vinous, with a layered core of fruit, racy acids and a saline, bone-dry finish. Complemented by an elegant pinpoint mousse, this is a classy, impeccably balanced wine that transcends the challenging vintage."

Bouzy is located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, a renowned Grand Cru for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Paillard family settled here in the early 18th century. Eight generations later, they have become an independent Family House, ambitious in its vine-growing expectations. Respect of the soil, control of the yields, vinification per plot and long ageing are the important characteristics of their wines and the motivations behind their daily work.

All of the champagnes are produced from their grapes grown on one of the most prestigious Grand Cru terroirs in Champagne: Bouzy. The vineyards make up 11 hectares (28 acres), composed of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay.
